THE WORLD OF SERETH
Araura’s story takes place in a world called Sereth. A massive world made up of many tribes, kingdoms and nations all with their own unique cultures, history and ideals.
Throughout the story, Anea and Renzia will travel to many lands and encounter wildly different characters representing the various cultures, races and beliefs hat Sereth has to offer. Their journeys will take them from rustic, ancient villages to technologically advanced metropolises - from majestic palaces to abandon ruins - cursed lands to beautiful sea shores and everywhere in between. Actually, Sereth is packed with so much rich history and lore you could think of each location as a character itself!
the lands of sereth
The world of Sereth is made up of many different nations, kingdoms and tribes all with their own unique races, cultures and histories. The lands in the story themselves are a major part of Araura. Think of each unique land we come to throughout the story as a new character! As our characters journey through the story, they will have to deal with the challenges presented by the cultures and ideals of those lands.
DENIZENS OF SERETH
Sereth was once home to various beings of both the physical and spiritual planes. The ethereal beings of the spirit realm would impart knowledge to the people of Sereth through certain races that had an innate ability to act as an intermediary between the two worlds.
In the days of Araura, the spirits of the world were much more omni-present and people had a greater connection with them than in the current day of the story. Different races of beings in the story such as the Sivian (forest-dwelling fairly-like beings) have their entire culture revolve around communing directly with the spirits. Whereas the Barguran (powerful humanoid beings with beastly features) have a lighter connection to the spirits and are not as dependent on them. Throughout the story, characters from these races and more will alter the paths of Anea and Renzia as they travel their shared as well as their separate paths.
