LOCATIONS OF SERETH:
KAZOGARU
Kazogaru is a large island-nation to the South of the Darkon continent. Not much remains here after a massive world war saw the near annihilation of the Kazegan people. Ruins of the once great cities of Sterellia, Heradell and the capital city of Kazogaru, Varhaana-Stahl dot the landscape of the once beautiful land. The Kazegan people have a natural disposition for the powers of darkness.
The Kazegans would use this power to hold the darkness at bay - to manage the shadow hakon that would leak out of the veil - acting as Sereth’s “silent guardian” from the forces of darkness and shadow.
After The Vanishing of Araura, it was assumed that Kazogaru - even though they were a peaceful race - had something to do with the tragedy of Araura because of their of their innate abilities with the shadow powers.
After meetings with Kazegan leaders failed to yield acceptable answers to Araura’s fate, Nakagara invaded, thus beginning The Kazogaru War. Nakagara’s plan was to wipe out the Kazegans in five days - the Kazegans held out for one year and seven months.
The Kazegan population dwindled from thirty million to around two-hundred and fifty thousand. Some of its people decided to stay in Kazogaru to salvage what little they could of Kazogaru’s former splendor, many went to live in allied nations such as Mursai and Burgonne.
